          Dana Equestrians Compete at Invitational in Florida

          I. Eldridge ’19 and L. Foregger ’18 traveled to West Palm Beach, Florida, for the 2017 College Preparatory Invitational. One hundred and forty riders from across the country competed at the three-day event, January 13-15.
          Participating riders met with equestrian coaches from 35 colleges and universities to discuss their individual collegiate options. Both Eldridge and Foregger participated in a horsemanship test and practicum with Averett University Coach Cricket Morris.
          The Karen Stives '68 Equestrian Center (KSEC) Instructor and Special Programs Coordinator Lauren Blacker accompanied the students on the trip and praised the experience.

          Foregger competed in the advanced division over 2'9" jumps, and placed third over fences and sixth on the flat. Eldridge competed in the open division over 2'6" jumps, and placed fourth over fences and second on the flat.

            "My favorite Dana Hall memory would be the first time I ever sang the Alma Mater with my fellow classmates. That was most definitely the first time I felt like I was truly a part of something. Joining hands with my future Silver Sisters made me truly feel like I was a Dana girl."
